A massive decluttering process underway in Savannah's room. This child's space was pretty much a Storehouse of Crap.....well, some of it was crap...most of it was toys-not-played-with or boxes and bags of bits-and-pieces. After much discussion and pondering, a collaborative effort ensued whereby we made three piles -- garbage (thankfully, not much of that), free-cycling (a veritable mountain of Joy to be passed on) and Precious Memories (Savannah's term) -- which were packed in that green tote you can see in the photo. A Divine decluttering indeed.
Our neighbour-friends getting first dibs on the freecycle stuff - -they're all dressed in their finery for Eid ul-Fitr celebrations....how apropos that we are also celebrating the spirit of sharing and Abundance.
And what it looks like now....a clear space..uncluttered and ready to play in. *sigh* Bliss.
Does she have enough boxes/shelves/whatever to place her things? I'm a box lover and having a place for everything can help kids (and us!).
ReplyDeleteNice job. What colourful room. I always feels so good to declutter, something I need to do with my cupboards but, yuk. I know I would feel great after it's done - one of these days!
ReplyDeleteWow! Her room looks great! May decluttering commence everywhere... XX

ReplyDeleteOh looks great! Inspirational too. Out of sight out of mind with some toys too. They don't know they have them most of the time.
ReplyDeleteAs you say, from clutter to shine. :)
ReplyDeleteI love decluttering. When we moved this summer, it was the perfect opportunity to do just that! Everything went to Good Will, and that made our lives so much easier.
ReplyDeleteGlad I found your blog.
Now that really is magic. I am enjoying your blog, I will be back.
