Hearing that a friend had been on a frenzy of papier mache creativity - and me, having pondering it for a while myself - Savannah wanted to try her hand at it. I dredged my memory banks for the how-to's, followed by a quick Google to confirm my often-faulty memories...and away we went...
Now, I had assumed that Savannah would be wanting to try something simple - a ball, a bowl, perhaps a set of maracas like Madi...but then again, why would I expect 'simple' from my girl?
She decided she wanted a dog. Hmmmm. No wire for framing....so.....I improvised with scrunched and folded newspaper and lots of masking tape. Behold - a paper dog!
Ms. Mel -- thank you so much for your comment on my 'I Need' post -- the girl power injection was sorely needed and well timed! And what you said, about the tension being let off just by having SAID IT? yes. completely right.
ReplyDeleteBack a few years ago, my circle of women friends bought a Zena armband, like that actress wore on the show -- a serpent the wrapped around our upper arm, and had a shield or some crest or some such -- it was a cheapo thing that was adjustable to accommodate us all -- but anyway, we circulated it among ourselves -- whoever needed it most would have it and wear it until it needed to move along to someone else in the middle of STUFF ... I've never forgotten it and I wish I could regenerate the process with all you wonderful Bloglandia spirits!
