Welcome Slobbers!!

At long last....our trip to Build-A-Bear....

The grim and gloomy weather didn't put us off....

Savannah - dressed in her finery for the occasion - holding her gift card and extra money on her lap....

To Lime Ridge Mall.....and.....

Although she'd been anxious that there might not be any of the Jack Russell Terriers that she'd wanted - she was relieved to see an entire bin-full -- she just had to choose the exactly right one.

And there she is.....Slobbers - unstuffed!...Savannah notes the hole wherein the stuffing shall commence...

The very nice stuffing-girl who first asked her name and what she was going to call her new dog...and then to what degree of stuff-ness she wanted....then.....

Savannah stepped on the pedal and away they went.....

Then there was the Heart Ritual....the charging of the little satin heart with wishes of health and prosperity for her new friend.....

While we were waiting for Slobbers to come out of surgery - there was a bit of a mix-up with the heartbeat that Savannah had chosen to add and so the already sewn-up Slobbers had to be re-opened - we perused the vast selection of clothing and accessories [read: marketing coup] where she chose a lovely skirt and top set and a pair of sandals...

Then after retrieving Slobbers from the sewing-room, it was time for the 'air bath' intended to fluff 'em up...

Off to the dressing room to don the chosen outfit....

Then to the computer to print out the birth certificate....

And at long last we were on our way out of the mall.....the much-anticipated and thoroughly enjoyable trip at an end.....until...

We stumbled across the giant colon..... (Savannah emerges just next to the 'internal hemorrhoids')

...which the kids enjoyed crawling through and being 'pooped out' until the Colon Nazi's told them they were only allowed one turn....

Shove it up your....um....colon, why don't ya?! *grin* Party poopers.....
